DEATHLESS YOGI-RIDER OF THE IRREPRESSIBLE WINDHORSE A long-life supplication for Ngakpa Karma Lhundup Rinpoche

Inseparable from the Dharmakaya Jewel, Maha Guru Pema Jungne, Establishing the Vajra Throne in the Land of Golok You were known as Wariktsel Thokme Heart-child of the wild Do Khyentse. Re-appearing in the Kingdom of Mustang Born into a family of yogis You are the Chodpa known as Karma Lhundup, The embodiment of the pristine action aroused by abiding in spontaneous presence. May you ride the windhorse for all time! May your life be long and joyous! Please, Yogi Teacher, remain in the world to turn the wheel of Dharma! Be steadfast in your wish to tame us all!

The image that inspired this prayer came to me suddenly as I was contemplating how I might repay Rinpoche’s great kindness. The image was of Ngakpa Karma Lhundup Rinpoche riding a windhorse, his long, dark Dharmakaya hair lifted by the wind. In one hand he held aloft a chod drum on which he played reverberating rolls like thunder. In the other he held a Kangling (thigh-bone trumpet) which he held to his mouth as he trumpeted an invocation to the Dakinis and Dharmapalas. His face and form showed great, blissful joy and glee.

Composed as an offering on behalf of all sentient beings, by the ordinary student Pema Duddul, on the 12th day of the 4th month in the Fire Dog year of 2133 according to the Tibetan Lunar calendar (08/06/06).

The secret nature The great fundamental goodness Mirror of wisdom Awareness itself Takes shape as the Tsawai Lama To guide and inspire. Thus, the fully liberated yogin Togden Amtrin Took form as a Nirmanakaya Lama Among the Kham Drukpa To bestow blessings and siddhi And lead me to recognition of Rigpa The luminous essence-mind So that I may manifest exactly as he Abiding in perfect equanimity And lead all beings To sky-like bliss and peace.

Ultimately,In your essence,You are Kuntuzangmo;

Radiant and pristine.

In your qualities and activity

You are Arya Tara;

Dancing in the play of bliss-emptiness.

For those who seek liberation

You are the manifestation of the path itself;

Buddha, Dharma and Sangha as one.

Known in this life as Khandro Thrinlay Chodon,

Vajra Queen,

Remain with us,

Turn the wheel of Dharma with laughter and joy,

And lead us to the perfect realm of the Dakinis!

Written by the little trainee ngakpa Pema Duddul in offering, on behalf of all sentient beings, to the Vajra Dakini, Khandro Thrinlay Chodon, on the 17th day of the Third month of the Fire Sow year  (04/05/2007).

A supplication to Dzongsar Khyentse Rinpoche

Two streams of pure intention

Great rivers of Bodhichitta

The white of Trakthung Dudjom Lingpa

The red of Khyentse Wangpo

Merge and become one

In the body and mind

Of Khyentse Norbu.

Many beings will benefit!

Many beings will delight in the radiance

Of the Jewel

Of Wisdom and Love!

Written after a dream in which Dzongsar Khyentse Rinpoche gave precious instruction inspiring devotion.
